A market-leading supermarket chain and a producer of all kinds of added value goods, recently faced a challenge with their existing cartoning systems due to poor operation and efficiencies.

This resulted in significant losses during crucial production periods requiring a reliable and efficient packaging solution that could be installed quickly and safely.

Our Solution:

We supplied two of our well-established SL903 Fully Automatic End Load Cartoners each with SATI infeed systems to maximise the deliverables with the least amount of operator input. We also worked closely with the supplier of product delivery equipment to ensure the smooth running, reduced operator input and minimal waste.

The system was successfully and safely installed, with no detrimental operational impact on the customer.

Benefits:

The packaging system was delivered on time and commissioned with a vertical start-up, which aided the customer to meet their production requirements.

A constant theme of training, advice, and mentoring to the customer and their staff maximised the outputs and increased familiarity with the system, resulting in system ownership at all levels.

As a new supplier, all contractual aspects were quickly achieved resulting in Bradman Lake now becoming a key supplier not just to this site but group wide.

Summary:

Bradman Lake was awarded the contract for multiple reasons; the proven technology and quality of its cartoning machinery, offering a solution that would fit in the available factory space and within budget and the ability to seamlessly partner with the other suppliers in the line. In addition, the safety measures put in place by Bradman Lake to implement and install equipment safely, with little affect to the customers’ operations.
